Since about 8am I'm getting the following error on one of my machines:
----------------------------------------Can't parse workunit in scheduler reply: unexpected XML tag or syntax [error] No close tag in scheduler reply In results on site it appears that new tasks have been sent to that device, but the client didn't receive/accept them, so those units are lost between server/client. Is this perhaps related to the maintenance performed today? ![]() |

There's another thread where a possible solution was developed, not well tested yet.
I think you have the wrong date for the planned maintenance. |

I'm having same issue. I have 113 tasks in Ready to Report status and no new workloads are downloading. Log says:

I've already tried a reboot. This is only system among 4 Windows systems in my home that has this problem. Most of the relevant discussion is in another thread from this post onwards (which unfortunately started with a misleading subject line). Suggest you try setting "No new tasks" first in order to clear the Ready to Report status tasks in the client, then try the subsequent ideas to get out of the corrupted scheduler reply loop.

I also had those error messages which were preventing new work download. I sorted it out with this procedure:
----------------------------------------1. On the BONIC MANAGER --- Project commands --- Select Remove 2. On the BONIC MANAGER ---- Add Project 3. Select WCG and add 4. Enter your User ID and password. This fired up the download of tasks and processing resumes. ![]() ![]() |

Thx for your effort, but I'd -not- follow your shortcut plan as this causes many to lose unreported work!

FYI, I have been doing a few things on the backend to attempt to fix this. I am still seeing members who are getting improperly formatted scheduler reply's from the server. I am about to do a more invasive test shortly to hopefully capture some of these issues.
Thanks, -Uplinger |

Greetings everyone,
I have recently updated the scheduler with a fix for this situation. There was a null pointer getting passed. I have caught this exception and it will attempt to process with a proper value instead. Thank you for your patience while we worked through fixing this issue. Thanks, -Uplinger |
