Urgent help needed

I am running BOINC on several work machines and I have configured my profile to run between 12AM to 6AM so it does not disturb people working on my servers, but the CPU load is always HIGH during the entire day. People are now complaining and if I don't get help/find a solution, I'll have to remove BOINC from all my work machines.

Please give me a DETAILED guide how to setup BOINC operation between midnight to 6am so I during work hours the CPU load is at 0

Check the global_prefs.xml file to see if the change has propagated to the client. If not, force an update using:

boinc_cmd --project www.worldcommunitygrid.org update

or by using BOINC Manager.

If all else fails, you can manually override the client behaviour using the global_prefs_override.xml file.

Global_prefs_override.xml is a very new feature. I believe that it has not made it into the stable branch yet.

I am puzzled. If you go to 'My Grid' - 'Device Manager' and click on the 'Selected Profile' for your computers does it show - Do work only between the hours of: 12 AM (0:00) and 6 AM (06:00) ?

Guys. How do you update the profile via the boinc_mgr? I cannot find how you can pull the new profile!!

Ok. I've d/l the new BOINC software, I have removed the old one and I killed the running process'. Im now trying to setup boinc_5.2.13_i686-pc-linux-gnu.sh, but its asking me for a username/password. Username/pw for WHAT exactly? I first have to setup my proxy, and its commented out (I cannot setup the proxy).

FIrst thing I get when I open up BOINC manager :

The password you provided is incorrect...

I try to go into Options > HTTP proxy >
The button for the http proxy is disabled confused

This wasn't happening before, I was able to seutp the proxy right away...

I had to remove the old tool, kill the process, re-install the old tool (boinc_5.2.6_i686-pc-linux-gnu.sh), re-connect to the project , and now the profile us properly update.
