I was thinking about after 50000 which was supposed to be the end of the first target. However, I would like to hear the opinion of ThreadRipper who has been producing the charts and some more of the data contributors. After 50,000 we don't have any information as to number of targets or the size that they are likely to be. It would be nice if Uplinger or another WCG staff member could give us some idea, please. Yeah, I wonder what will happen after batch 50 000. I supopose the first target will be done, but I haven't seen any information as to what we will crunch afterwards. I suppose target 2, but how many batches wil there be and how many WUs in each batch? I agree that it would be very good to get some information from the techs (uplinger, knreed, caitilarkin...) We are all donating our own resources towards the betterment of humanity. But with every project there is a limit to what the donators are willing to give and can give. There is a point when the donators begin to ask when is it going to end? I think the techs and researchers should tell us how many more batches and their size are there going to be. Possibly about 22 May. As there are reportedly 50,000 batches, this would represent 96% of the first target, once we have returned more over 48000s than there are under, incomplete. Based on the last 10 intervals, my forecast for the end of the first target adjusts to 9 June 2021. The interval recently halved, but the number of results returned has stayed roughly the same. I suspect some batches have been used for OPNG. Based on the last 7 intervals, my forecast would be 5 June 2021. Mike |
