I'll start with I know this is very low on the list of priorities.
I recommend whenever an admin is going into the forum to post a response or update, that they take a few minutes to close/lock threads which have already been resolved, especially in the "News" section. There are always multiple different posts in multiple different threads regarding system errors/outages from prior months, in addition to other resolved issues. Those should at some point be closed, and be allowed to age out. New issue = new thread. It will provide for a cleaner forum, which is better for everyone involved.
