Thought I might post my small "stepping stones" of 100,000 each on my way to my first "milestone" of 1,000,000 points. Currently at 167,185. Might go a bit slower than some as I run the UD Agent concurrently with the BOINC projects. Jim (jvsturm)

Thought I might post my small "stepping stones" of 100,000 each on my way to my first "milestone" of 1,000,000 points. Currently at 167,185. Might go a bit slower than some as I run the UD Agent concurrently with the BOINC projects. Jim (jvsturm) Past my 200,000 point "stepping stone" (200,614) and moving on to my third. Might go a bit slower than some as I run the UD Agent concurrently with the BOINC projects. Jim (jvsturm) Past my 200,000 point "stepping stone" (200,614) and moving on to my third. I will make my 1,000,000 point milestone. Jim (jvsturm) Finally past my 300,000 point "stepping stone" (300,640). It's taking longer with BOINC the preferred client as I can only run one project at a time and I end up running several of the others as well as this one. Jim (jvsturm) |

This meant I had to reattach to WCG and my points (and stepping stones  ) reset to zero. That's ok though because all's well that ends well. I'm currently back up to 16,633 points. Will keep on posting my "small" stepping stones until I reach the big 1,000,000 then pick larger stones Jim |

You can add the newly formatted machine to your old account name. Then your points total should continue on from there.
You will see a new device name being registered, but that is normal. You should be able to detach from WCG and re-attach using your old name "jvsturm [USA]" and password. If you need any help just give a shout in the support forum where it will get seen quickly by our very helpful and informative Community Advisors and they will help you out in doing this. You can add the newly formatted machine to your old account name. Then your points total should continue on from there. You will see a new device name being registered, but that is normal. Thanks joneill003. I did as you suggested and it showed the name "jvsturm [USA]" under the BOINC projects tab. But when I went to my grid the name "jvsturm" came up. I had to sign out and sign back in with "jvsturm [USA]" to see the new listing with 348,654 points. The points on the BOINC page didn't update & remained at 16,426.09. I don't know how to correct this. I tried updating again but no change. Which is the support forum for this? Thanks for your help.
