Evening all
We did have some sun for a few minutes this morning but now it's back to rain so I don't start thinking that summer is coming. Thinking of you Merle, lets hope everything isn't fried. |

This morning I briefly mentioned York Minster, Johan Sebastian Bach, a proud dad, and a first for one of the Edwardians....
----------------------------------------York Minster in the heart of York is a massive medieval cathedral, and within this cathedral there is one of the finest Church organs in the land. George 7 has a brother Robert aged 9 years who aspires to be better than his Father Dick (Who many of you have met) as a church organist. Well young Robert spent some of last weekend playing Bach's Toccata and Fugue in D Minor (probably Bach's most famous piece) for the cathedral Organist. A Proud moment for Dick. A fantastic piece of music - difficult for adults let alone a boy of nine! A First for The Edwardians- in the finest Minster in the land! Congratulations from all of us! ![]() ![]() ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jul 5, 2007 7:27:18 PM] |
