 Good moaning pensioners, been a bit busy of late so have just bin catching up this am on all your little post scripts, the briney air would appear to have suppressed the altziemers and put new life into yuz all  . Loved the poetry Ted, and Dens version was brilliant, Merle if the gnashers are that bad do what my ol' dad did when he had his first tooth ache, he had the whole lot taken out so he wouldn't have to suffer the pain again.  I was recommended Sensodyne toothpaste by my Dentist years ago and 'touch wood' have had no trouble for the past decade, apart from brushing with it I smear a little on my teeth at night and leave it on, prior to using it I had very sensitive teeth and my gums where receeding, but now they are Ok.Happy sailing all 'The Old (Tooth Fairy) Sage'  |

Sunny day, decided to go for early morning walk, got to the end of the village, personal cloud appeared,got soaked! Moral? Look at the bl***y barometer before setting off!

 Today is Krishna's birthday ( 12th Aug) Just thought it was of interest!! Krishna's Friends As a boy Lord Krishna led His cow-herd friends to the forest by the river where all thought of toil ends. "Here we'll have our picnic, where the sands are soft and clean and the birds are chirping over head as sweetly as in a dream." His friends, the little cow-herds, ate in the open air, near the lotus flowers, with honey-bees humming there. Later in the evening, Krishna changed them like Himself- Now they were clothed in yellow silk and jewels of great wealth. Every boy had four arms, each wrist was braceleted with shining golden bangles and there heads were helmeted. Memories anyone?????
Have you noticed? Everything is farther away than it used to be. It is twice as far to the corner – And, what’s more, I notice now they have even added a hill. I have given up running for the bus – it leaves much faster than it used to do. It seems to me that they are making steps much steeper than they did in the old days. And have you noticed the smaller print they now use in the newspapers and the telephone book? Everyone speaks with such a soft voice that I can hardly hear them. Even people are changing; they are so much younger than they used to be when I was their age. On the other hand, people my own age are so much older than I am. I met an old friend the other day, and he had aged so much that he didn’t even recognise me. I got to thinking about the poor old love, whilst I was combing my hair this morning, and in doing so I glanced at my reflection- and would you believe it… They don’t make good mirrors like they used to either! |
