We go to see some sun in the early part of the year Feb/March Bro inlaw lives in Gib we go to Costa del Sol and visit get a free lunch and so on .. He has a boat (58ft cruiser round the bay dolphin watching) in Shepards marina an apartment nearby our extended family live and work on the rock... Evening chickadee's, Den, when I was in Gib' I often assisted a certain Surgeon Commander in the Royal Navy Hospital operating rooms, as part of my training as an Army Medic, on one particular occasion he was stripping varicose veins from a leg putting the the vein into a kidney dish, my job was to assist with the bandaging, afterwards clearing and accounting for instruments swabs etc used during the operation, I was also responsible for disposing of any diseased parts, in this case the veins that had been removed!, however when I came to remove the kidney bowl containing the stripped veins he stopped me short and asked me to put them to one side, this wasn't unusual as often he would send samples to the Lab for analysis, being inquisitive I asked what he proposed to do with the said parts? "Oh," came the reply, " I'm going to 'Europa Point' later today, 'Shark fishing' they are for my bait"! ![]() Folks this story is true 'I was that soldier' I had a personal WRAF driver called Sheila, ( a Geordie) who used to Drive the Airforce Ambulance on duty with me, chasing up and down the Airfield after a delapitated 'Shackleton' each time it came in from harassing the Russian fleet in the Med. it would often come in on one engine having been up for 24hrs. We never lost contact with one another infact that was 38yrs ago! yep 38yrs and we are still partners!, you've guessed it, we got married in '69 John Lennon married joker Yoko 'Oh'no' that year and visited the Rock; We suffered an earthquake and to top it off we very nearly never got off the Rock as a certain dictator sent his 'Star fighter planes up as a show of strength just as we were about to take off in an old 'Britainia Turbo Prop'. Good old days aye? Nite all ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Aug 21, 2007 7:55:35 PM] |

Good evening to everyone.
----------------------------------------Just noticed something strang and was wondering if anyone else has had this problem. On older machines (200 - 500mhz) running on win98 - my clock has gotten of by 20 minutes to as much as 2 days since i started running BOINC (which I've been running since WCG ended the 2 lower projects. I've never seen my clocks get off by more than a minute or 2 per year so this really has me puzzled. ![]() Have a great day. Cheers
