![]() What game is that exactly? ![]() Please explain! Regards I believe he was refering to the fact that this is an IBM run service, and we have been slapping the IBM teams around for a week now. |

Also, I'd suggest when we take #1 in runtime and points generated (currently #3 in both) that someone send the story in to /. to get the project re-advertised and keep the momentum going. Still can't wait to see all hell break loose when a Linux client is released.

With a Linux client will the server be able to cope? I know they must have good server... but good enough for the /. effect of the /. Linux users?

No clue, but I hope they know what they are getting themselves in to. Team members here have already committed to loading it on to multiple boxes (when 'nix client is available), and we have 3,000 users now from it being posted once, I can see that number easily doubling with /.'ers putting it on entire networks when a 'Nix client is released. Or maybe even a beawulf cluster! ![]() |

sorry about the double post. Yeah someone should really send in a story!
Idunno guys, you don't think it's going to get kind of boring after being #1 for awhile? I'd almost consider abandoning the /. team to join another -- it's the competition for the first place that I'll bet keeps a lot of people plugging away at it. If I were on some other team right now I'd maybe get bored and disband after a week or two (note: that's not a suggestion, that's what a weak-willed person like myself would do)...*cough* a little competition adds spice and fuel in this case -- do we really want to remain blowing it out of the water. Sure it'll be nice to hover around this spot for maybe a week or two...but then it'll just get boring. Any ideas? |
