Re: Nursery Rhymes you probably didn't recite as a kid

Miss Mary Mac, Mac, Mac
All dressed in black, black, black
With silver buttons, buttons, buttons
All down her back, back, back.
She asked her mother, mother, mother
For 50 cents, cents, cents
To see the elephants, elephants, elephants
Jump over the fence, fence, fence.

They jumped so high, high, high
They reached the sky, sky, sky;
They never came back, back, back
Till the 4th of July, July, July.

Mac, Mac, Mac.

הם הגיעו שמיים, בשמים, בשמים;
הם מעולם לא חזרו, חזרה אחורה
עד הרביעית של יוני, יולי, אוגוסט.

La tortuga está en el agua, The tortoise is in the water,
vive dentro, vive fuera, she lives in and out of the water,
mira cómo nada, nada, look how she swims, swims,
para salir de la arena. in order to leave the beach.
Va despacito, con su compás, She goes slowly, on her way,
con el peso de su capa with the weight of her cloak
amarilla, verde plata, yellow, silver-green
ya es trabajo caminar. it is so hard to walk.

Re: Nursery Rhymes you probably didn't recite as a kid

Thirty days has September,
April, June and November.
All the rest have thirty-one,
Saving February alone,
Which has twenty-eight, rain or shine.
And on leap years, twenty-nine!

Re: Nursery Rhymes you probably didn't recite as a kid

January brings the snow - makes your feet and fingers glow
February brings the thaw - ice and frost to come no more

March winds and
April showers bring forth
May flowers
June is bright,
July is warm
August brings us sunshine's charm.

In September leaves turn brown.
In October, they fall down.
In November, mists prevail.
Dark December ends my tale.

Re: Nursery Rhymes you probably didn't recite as a kid

On top of spaghetti,
All covered with cheese,
I lost my poor meatball,
When somebody sneezed.

It rolled off the table,
And onto the floor,
And then my poor meatball,
Rolled out of the door.

It rolled in the garden,
And under a bush,
And then my poor meatball,
Was nothing but mush.

The mush was as tasty
As tasty could be,
And early next summer,
It grew into a tree.

The tree was all covered
With beautiful moss,
It grew lovely meatballs,
All covered with sauce.

So if you eat spaghetti,
All covered with cheese,
Hold on to your meatballs,
And don't ever sneeze.

Daffy down Dilly has come up to town,
With her yellow petticoat and her green, green gown.

Bring the hoop, and bring the ball,
Come with happy faces all;
Let us make a merry ring,
Talk and laugh, and dance and sing.
Quickly, quickly, come away,
For it is a pleasant day.
