Re: The Formula One Thread

Interesting how the cars looked once in racing conditions but, as he proved last year, Vettel is the man to watch; and a very pleasant one at that.

I'm pleasantly surprised to hear this from an Englishman... biggrin tongue wink

But I 100% agree... He has learned a lot from his idol Michael Schumacher, especially meticulousness, to regard every single thing, even if it seems to be unimportant, and try to improve everything...

Re: The Formula One Thread

Unlucky for Vettel (loss of power through broken exhaust)

Nice one Alonso applause

First impressions with no refuelling combined with the eeking out of tyres... it doesn't make for great racing.

Re: The Formula One Thread

Quite agree David. Most of the race was pretty boring. If this is going to be the pattern of the season I think a lot of fans (including me) will not bother to sit in front of the box for a couple of hours.

Re: The Formula One Thread

nerd I was there looking like this JP today

For the Australian GP

It will be hypnotized then sleep then hypnotized then sleep hopefully I will get to see the finish like this silly

They have been years when this hypnotized turned immediately into this sleep after the first corner and I never get to see who has won

sad

It get's more difficult to stay awake as the years roll by biggrin

Here's a question for those that get the BBC feed. How long do you think the Jonathan Legard/Martin Brundle pairing will last this season?

Re: The Formula One Thread

I see the general press comment here agreed that, on this showing, the new rules will lead to very boring racing with overtaking being less likely than ever.

Re: The Formula One Thread

Was the Bahrain GP boring? Not much of an excitement for me; Excitement was in the qualifying than in the race.

Lets see how it goes for the Australian GP.

Re: The Formula One Thread

Yes, let's hope for something better but it's hard to see that it can be much different. The driver's concentration is too much on the balance of tyre degradation and fuel use just to get to the end of the race and the latest bodywork designs to not seem to have made it any easier for overtaking.
Keep your fingers crossed.
