Re: The Formula One Thread

Great race - this time live on BBC

Look like the Merc is good on a long straight.

Apologies but I still get huge satisfaction from seeing Shumy park it even if he's not in a Ferrari blushing

Once again Button shows Lewis a clean pair of heels wink

Great one Nico

Re: The Formula One Thread

I managed to watch the race live. I'm happy for Nico, well deserved win. But I feel that McLaren is the team to beat this year. Anyway the upgrades all teams will bring to Barcelona may shuffle things around. I'm a bit worried about Bahrain, I hope everything goes well.

Unfortunately it is all about Bernie's MONEY, he has it and isn't giving out any refunds!! I too hope for an incident free race!!

I think so too, one of the female members of one of the Teams said she would not go and they FIRED her! I think if there IS a tragedy that Bernie and F1 Management will take ALOT of heat for it and the repercussions will be felt for many years to come!! AND even if there are NO tragedies, there will STILL be repercussions! Bernie may well have 20 some places to race each year but fewer races actually scheduled, rotating some in and out as the politics demand.

Re: The Formula One Thread

I see the price for Monaco is up again this year … starting at 322 pound, 515 dollar, 390 euro. Alas, I have a scheduling conflict. wink However, if you have to ask the price you should not be in Monaco.

MANY years ago I was in the US Navy and we pulled into port just down the Coast from Monaco, several of us hopped into a taxi cab, a MERCEDES, and went to the Casino on the top of the hill overlooking the bay. Turns out if you are under 21 they will NOT let you in, none of us were so we turned around and spent the day at the beach drinking beer, eating bread and watching the girls sunbathe topless!! It was WONDERFUL!!! Oh and the girls REALLY DO put their tops on when they go INTO the water and then take them off again when they come back out! Something about fish nibbling or something! No race that weekend of course, but it was FUN and we saw more money in boats than I have ever seen before or since!! This was in the mid 70's!!

Not looking good. Protests continue. Vettel takes P1.

On the other side of the economic spectrum ....

Just what every soccer mom needs to take the kids to practice; a 600 bhp Lamborghini SUV. Wonder if it has 5-point harnesses for the lttle brats?

Re: The Formula One Thread

Congradulations to Vettel and Red Bull on their win (Yay!!). I haven't watched it yet (forgot to record it). I'll have to watch the replay on SPEED TV.

Congratulations to Lotus Renault for their 2nd AND 3rd places too!!!

4 races down and 4 different winners and 4 different Teams showing us what they have under their skirts, but none of them being able to sustain anything very well!! McLaren had pit stop problems AGAIN this week and Hamilton suffered greatly because of it. No more spoilers as you NEED to watch the race!!!!!
