In Paris, one of the Gibson Brothers, Patrick Francfort, died at age 64. The drummer succumbed after a short period of time because of some complications due to the coronavirus. During the prime of the disco music, together with his brothers Chris and Alex from the island of Martinique, they had big hits with:
----------------------------------------Non Stop Dance Cuba Que Sera Mi Vida The latter was their biggest hit with 5 million copies sold. In France-metropole the contribution of our carribean artists is not rightly appreciated and not enough noticed (scarce on big medias) Groups like Kassav and Malavoi sold more cd's than many here Regards |
