Is H5N1 in any of the focus of the WCG projects ?

Hello,

is H5N1 "avian flu" in any of the focus of the WCG projects ?

http://www.ibm.com/ibm/ideasfromibm/healthcar...dspace/all/pandemicsflash

Wouldn't WCG be a plattform for that ?

Thanks in advance.

Hello oesterreicher,
None of our current or soon to be announced projects deal with H5N1 influenza. We have had some discussions about a possible project but it is not on our current schedule.

Believe one was run recently in UK and a new DC was started on the H5N1 in Asia just a few months ago.

Ah yes here is the previous: http://www.gridtoday.com/grid/625565.html

Lets not double up efforts.

World Community Grid would be an excellent platform to run avian flu related research. If you know of anyone doing research in this field, please ask them to consider submitting a proposal: http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/projects_showcase/viewSubmitAProposal.do
