confused New Projects?

Hallo

I have only one question. After the finish of the Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy project and now the near finish of the Genome Comparison project.

Are there any new WCG-Projects comming up or what will happen with WCG in the near future?

Re: New Projects?

An e-mail newsletter from "World Community Grid" entitled "World Community Grid Announcement" went around to everyone on June 18. You have been a member for several months and should have received one. Is it sitting in your SPAM folder? You might want to check your spam filter.

In the next few months cancer, dengue fever and climate prediction will be starting. Early next year we could see phase 2 of the Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy project. Specifics depend on how the scientists want to change their crunching program after phase 1, recently completed.

The schedulers do not like to pin it down more closely than that, in case there are problems or successes with any one, which could change the mix. The long running FAAH and HPF2 projects will continue.

There is enough crunching here and server capacity to keep everyone busy for several years with what we've got already. Reliable results and reputation of WCG also guarantee that new projects will keep coming in.

If you are running BOINC, it is always a good idea to check/tick the project box at the bottom to send other work in case the projects you have selected have run out intermittently or permanently.
