Grins and gets the local coyote's out as well as a few wolves and fishers and stakes them out in front of the door. That will keep the deer and the dogs out of the driveway. My wife is complaining about the deer in the driveway. Rudi the Red as opposed to Rudi the Blonde |

Caught a deer in my high beams last night getting ready to cross the road. Lucky I saw it early enough to slow down. Then it decided not to cross anyways, probably because it had an audience now.
Bring back the wolves!!!!! |

Bring back the wolves!!!!! I have a herd of 1000+ deer on the mountain here. Every night the wife complains that she has the deer in the **$%^#^^ driveway when she comes home. They wont even move when she honks the horn. I keep telling her she is lucky that it isn't a herd of moose. ![]() Rudi the Red PS Ripcat... the Auberge I gave you the URL for is just on the other side of the mountain here. |

Team Hopper Hopping Mad for the WCG If the project has something to do with sustaining acceptable populations of animals I'm all for it. Did you know that the WWF is all up in arms about South Africa wanting to cull elephants in one of their parks. The population of elephants has out grow what the park can sustain so eventually the elephants will start to starve. While the elephants are starving they are weak are more likely to get diseases which can spread to the heathly elephants causing the population do decline farther than a controlled cull. And don't forget the destructon of the other plants and animals while the elephants get out of control. We should leave that to us humans as we seem to be the best at it anyways. I'd prefer to have the populations culled rather than see the animals destroy their environment before starving and spreading disease to whatever remains of the ecosystem they live in. Tough love nature lover, Ripcat |
