XP bug - systray icon has no title , XP cannot save hide icon setting

XP bug - systray icon has no title , XP cannot save hide icon setting

running bionic on XP but i need to go to properties of windows desktop and customize the Notification (sys tray icons) every time ... cause bionic does not set a title to the exe's icon for the systray..

i hope this is a bug that will be fixed soon and not a hack to make the icon appear everytime

hmmm so the app only downloads jobs - we need to download the new one manually or is there a 'Update youself' button somewhere?

this is not yet fixed - i downloaded the boinc 5.10.45 client. this has to be a very small fix - i hope it can be done in the next release - its really distracting to work and see the tray icon - i can hide all the rest but not this.

Yes, BOINC 6 is the next version, not the current version.

Well observed.

I meant the next minor releases before 6 ... this should not be more than a 4-5 lines of code
do the developers of the tool read this or only sarcastic mods/ members?

I was perfectly clear in my first post. I don't want to bore you with the procedural details of why this is so.

Yes, I would like the feature earlier, too. But we will both have to wait.
