I've been busy and just in case you have missed it in "suggestions and feedback" here's the latest way to promote the WCG
----------------------------------------easy to remember Website Addresses e.g. HIV dot researchonyourpc.com hiv.researchonyourpc.com aids.researchonyourpc.com and for your Mac Buddies hiv.researchonyourmac.com aids.researchonyourmac.com Let me know if you can think of any other prefixes we need and I'll get them on there asap Any suggestions for meta tags on the website or other data/info you would like to see included please let me know by the way http://www.researchonyourpc.com and http://www.researchonyourmac.com also work a treat Get Digging Stumbling Deliciousing and Blogging Let's get some new crunching Buddies onboard Team WCG in teh fight against HIV Dave  |

What good did that news clip do when it was aired on tv?
I'm not sure I seen them advertise a link for the World Community Grid for people to find it? Maybe, I missed it? I don't think most average people are resourceful or motivated enough to do a Google search to find it. |

Hi rbolo29 The idea is to get the World Community Grid up there on Google and make the message simple for people to sign up
----------------------------------------You are right people don't search for HIV research on your pc or mac. But I'm having some success with Stumbleupon which requires no thought at all to have this page presented. The more we can get this page with the video on Stumbleupon, Digg, Reddit, Del.icio.us, Technorati etc etc the more potential crunchers will discover what this great ever growing resource is all about and may want to help out like you and me It's up to us to get it on our blogs and forums and websites I recently entered Cancer Research into Google and the first mention of teh World Community Grid was on page 19. No one will ever find us there - let's use this page and these handy mnemonic website address to tell our colleagues and buddies about the World Community Grid. all the best Dave |
