We had very low error rates for the beta test on Windows and Mac, so those platforms are now eligible to receive work from the Help Conquer Cancer project.
Linux still has a very high error rate, and we are actively looking into fixing this so that we can put the Linux version back into production for this project. Thanks to all the beta testers and everyone else for your patience! |

Nels, This means that MAC in fact has overcome the OS-X 10.5 v 10.4 validation hurdle? The Apple fans will be over the moon. cheers Actually - no. We accepted defeat. That means that we have created a new homogeneous redundancy class for Mac 10.5. So here are the current classes: Windows Linux PPC-Mac 10.4 and earlier PPC-Mac 10.5 and later Intel-Mac 10.4 and earlier Intel-Mac 10.5 and later We are using 'HR' on everything except for Human Proteome Folding - Phase 2. We are going to be doing some additional investigation into this and perhaps if we find something later we can re-combine the classes. Happy Turkey Day tomorrow! (or at least for those in the US) |

No - at this point we are going to have spend some digging into the Linux error. It will be a little while before we are able to launch a new Linux beta.

Okay, set the controls for heart of the sun and give your software firewall (particular those ZA users) and if applicable your ThreadMaster throttle a little jolt to accept and manage the new windows version wcg_hcc1_img_5.15_windows_intelx86. First one just trickled into the queue.

We are using 'HR' on everything except for Human Proteome Folding - Phase 2. I apologize for my ignorance, but how exactly does homogenous redundancy work, as it pertains to science results? Happy Turkey Day tomorrow! (or at least for those in the US) Same to you! Thanks. |
