Good Morning Base Campers!
This is a personal message to everybody I love here at the WCG Forum ![]() ![]() - and that means everyone who crunches ![]() and everyone whose love I have been fortunate enough to receive. ![]() One year ago, having just moved from my partner and husband of 45 years, I read a selfhelp book. It suggested I asked myself this. I did, I answered and hid the letter to be opened now: 1. What do you do you want most of all? Love. Love, love, love. Now I give and receive love in unlimited amounts in unlimited ways from an unlimited number of people everywhere ♥ ♥ ♥ 2. What do you want for yourself? Good health. Well, it didn't deteriorate :) 3. What do you want to remember from this period in your life? Change. The transformation from being an Untermensch to a human being. And I feel I'm there :) 4. Which experiences do you hope to have had? Living life. To find a foothold in some center and expand my life gradually in concentric circles. And I feel I have, and I'm still working myself to pieces expanding and loving life ♥ 5. What do you want to have accomplished? To have created a network. And I have - in the virtual world and the real one. I am a very lucky woman ♥ ♥ ♥ When I wrote this, it was a pipe dream. Now it is a wonderful reality. Thank you everybody who helped me getting where I am today ♥ ♥ ♥ Guitar Man just suggested I added "Need your love so bad" Here is the whole thing as it is composed today: Getting-over-that-divorce-playlist 2 ![]() |

Thank you, Jose - one of my new valued friends -
and USAFA 82 who has been with Base Camp since we started. Do you still have Marie Kiks left? Oh, my ex took it poorly when I shipped those bisquits * to you in Colorado Springs ![]() Good Afternoon Base Campers! I hope you get some catching up with your home teams done. I suppose TLD will deal the badges for your participation in Trek #35 today or tomorrow. All four suggestions received votes. sunfolk voted for #1 - his own, Dukie ate #2. That's why it did not win. #4 had double the votes of sunfolk's lone one whereas #3 has the most votes. 18 of you voted - almost as high a percentage as east of the Iron Curtain before the cat tore it up. Yesterday and today were absolutely goreous days in Denmark, and everybody has been playful and in a delirious mood. Some were inspired to get some gardening done - this was in Norway, tho The blonde with the chain saw ![]() Mini-Max - a Danish Base Camper living in Sweden and I discussed Marie Kiks intensively. USAFA 82 felt left out, and this very national issue was impossibe to explain verbally - had to be done orally. I shipped him three rolls. He still have some. They must have an awfully long shelf life ![]() You deserve some serious music: Va pensiero which we are going to sing at the season finish of my Italian class to which I was invited in spite of having to drop out. People are so good to me ![]() |

Maybe i should ship it back and you can try it. ![]() I've found some similar at a local store of a small chain called World Market, but they don't say Marie on them and I don't see them online. ![]() There's a U.S. company called Goya Foods that makes what they call Maria Cookies. I'll have to try them sometime. |

The Maria Bisquits in your link looks like the real thing, Michael.
In Denmark Marie Kiks/Bisquits are made by Bisca - a factory in a city some 40 miles from me, which I happened to pass today on an outing ![]() |

Good Afternoon Base Campers!
Thank you for the badges, TLD ![]() - let us show them what they look like: ![]() It was designed by kawika57 - our very New Base Camper from Hawaii ![]() I must say the competition was stiff. Four excellent suggestions were given. I have posted about "Global community - together is power" who's putting up a challenge in our own Base Camp Forum as well as with the EVGA crunchers' Forum not to mention at The Musketeers' Forum. I'm short on time right now - going to Sweden planning to be back on Monday - but if there is an interest we'll turn this into a Base Camp Trek with badge and all. Somewhere else I used this melody that used to make me go ![]() ![]() ![]() when I was a teenager in the previous century ![]() Anneliese, ach Anneliese this is in German which doen't improve on it ![]() ![]() |

Good Evening Base Campers!
Since assassin ezio surfaced with his new team he has been visited by 11 Base Campers, EVGA Crunchers and Team Musketeers. I asked in our Base Camp Forum if you would like it to become a regular Trek. ![]() ![]() All these visitors shall be dealt a badge when we finish what is now Trek #36: AF>Amis des Lapins Peluche blackheeler cswchan Hypernova jose [Team Musketeers] kawika57@bc little mermaid NAP2614 sunfolk Urlauber Yvan Stauffer [Team Musketeers] I know Hypernova came for the excitement created by assassin ezio, but since I have a feeling that Hypernova has toyed with Base Camping for a while, I take the liberty to count him in for a badge. In honour of Hypernova and Peluche - both from Switzerland - I found this piece of music for our Global community played on a Schwyzerörgeli At home in our Castle you'll find a Trekmaster Thread where you are welcome to list your presence, and the Badge Suggestion Thread for suggestions only and one for chatty posts. You can join the Trek here: Global community - together is power ![]() |
