Thank you very much Saphir12
![]() Don't get me wrong I definitely look like an angel, I assure you I walk like one, not to mention the way I talk, but I'm the Devil in Disguise ![]() trying to assemble a Motley crew of Base Campers to be ready to go on future Base Camp treks with young, vigorous, enthusiastic teams like Kraland - and some old tired teams as well ![]() In the meantime I do enjoy being in France |

Dear campers,
----------------------------------------We continue the visit? A few kilometers from Roquefort, a friend lives in a castle (well, in a part), and it's a place that I find very pretty. I invite you to a Templar village, which is classified as a historical monument: Saint Jean d'Alcas. It makes you dream no? Otherwise, as little mermaid says, much to our surprise, Team Kraland is currently 13th for the Halloween Challenge. And really not far from 12th place, still a motivation to do more! And all campers who want to join us are invited, even if it's just for sightseeing, and for the duration you want. Finally, I don't know if it's done on purpose, but in French song, Jacques Brel is my favorite singer, even if he is Belgian (Beauty has no nationality). So I suggest you listen to a song a little less sad: C'est trop facile. [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Oct 31, 2017 5:49:49 PM] |

It seems Little mermaid likes herons, like Stefada. So... i took this picture some weeks ago.. one heron and a couple of duck, in front of my apartment. But this rogue of heron turned his head when I took the picture

Oh, something to do tomorrow for the Base Campers
----------------------------------------thank you so much. ![]() That place looks wonderful. You must live in the very buttercup (so we say in Danish – I hope the meaning of it shines through) of France. We get to see and do much more than I hoped for. Thank you very much for your hospitality ![]() Yes! We’ll go to Templar village tomorrow, right nap? And I hope deltavee will find the time to come, too. I wish we were a bigger group, but so far it’s only nap and me and the huge column of deltavee’s work. ![]() Sometimes I get a little competitive, and I can feel it now. I would really like to drum up more power for that Halloween Challenge, but I seem to be unable to attract more people …. Well, c’est la vie, n’est pas? ![]() I chose ”Ne me quitte pas” because I like it, and it was a long time since I heard it. And he does repeat himself as opposed to ’Allo ’Allo Michelle. Your Jaques Brel song really is more optimistic. ![]() Now I’ll drag out another old favorite of mine: ’Et maintenant ’ avec Gilbert Becaud. I chose a version with lyrics and offer this free French lesson to anyone who voluntees as a Base Camper – or want to join team Kraland as a permanent member. We gotta’ advance in this Halloween Challenge some way or another, right? Saphir12, thank you for your photo. My heron was more polite (six years ago). I hope you can see him. I should have zoomed some more, but then he would have flown away. You cannot trust them to model …. ![]() ![]() ![]() Perchance I choose the wrong music? Mayhaps people will think it's a funeral? It isn't [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Feb 23, 2018 10:05:55 AM] |

ahhh, très bon, Nathalie, it's a beautiful name and a beautiful song.
I'm 'an old heron' (we do say so in Danish, and in this context 'heron' is not a compliment). When I was young this song was quite popular, and I was ready to flee into a mousehole every time is was played. I'm sure you'll understand why. My name is anne-lise ![]() ![]() ![]() |

----------------------------------------![]() When i was young, the song "Nathalie" was still famous and I hated my name ![]() Now, time has passed, and all my friends call me just "Nat" and it feel better ![]() |

Hey hey!
----------------------------------------For tomorrow, I have another visit to offer you. I'm not from here, and it took me years to go around (and I'm not even sure I did). Every 10Km (max), there are beautiful things to see ... After you know, we're not really there for the competition, it's more of a way to motivate ourselves, than anything else. Although of course, in view of the results, we want to do even more. But I think we can already be happy; Since the 27th, we have 11 new members, and 5 who are back. And the support of the campers, it touches us, and motivates us. I think neither Saphir12 nor I, expected so much, and we are surprised that it works so well (me anyway). Finally, as you seem to have "Tomber en Amour" (fallen in Love) for France, to use an expression of our cousins of Quebec, a little poem. This is Robert Lamoureux, a French humorist not so well known, while he was a giant. His poem explains that it's his happiness to be tired, because that means he's done the right thing for his family, and well filled his day: L'éloge à la fatigue. PS: Do you want me to post also in French here, as I do on the topic of Team Kraland? [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Oct 31, 2017 9:40:08 PM] |
