Good Afternoon Base Campers!
First secretary urged me not to wait for second secretary to call back. Good thinking. Second secretary was not at her desk. On second call I insisted on her being found, and they caught down a hallway. She broke down and admitted the first plan she wrote was faulty, but now she had made a new one. ’And when will that be available to first secretary?’ I needed to know. As it was digital, we could assume: Immidiately. Called first secretary, who had left early. Another secretary took down my message inclusive of a firm wish in the shape of a feedback phone call as to whether first secretary had found it in cyberspace. If English Doctor Francis and his five-person-crew had been equally helpless, it would have been necessary to ask him if he had found the correct artery, if the wire had that stent installed, if he pointed it the right way away from my fingers, if it went toward my liver, lungs or heart, if he had pressed the goo properly away before releasing the stent … Luckily, Doctor Francis and his crew knew what they was doing as did the paramedic. Doctor Francis was even cool enough to solicit my signature on what I felt was my death bed enrolling in a study. I grow fonder and fonder of competent people.  Twice has the captain I hope Base Camp will have next been to the Forum. At least. He didn’t check in at the thread I had expected him to. What else is new. Life would be too easy if we had too much predictability. I can think of only one more bullet. To join his team and see if he notices that. Do any of you have a better idea of how to get the attention of one particular cruncher out of many, many on a Forum too poor to have a PM facility? I don’t want to leave captain Johnny Cool and team Andrax just now. Next week. We could also make a ’sneaky pete’ – we could be forced to – and make the best of it - even if we are inexperienced in a certain nation, its people, its nature, its attractions, its flora, fauna, and food, not to mention the waters We can help each other make it a fairy tale not yet written nor told.  |

As for HRT, when my first wife had her hysterectomy, I asked about the need for HRT and the doc said they no longer automatically place the patient on it until they exhibit signs they need it. Problem is, EVERYONE could see the change take place except my ex who refused to admit her attitude and personality had changed for the worse. That was 2003, she still won't admit it. She now has no less than 6 personalities, none of them very pleasant.

Good Afternoon Base Campers!
I have my rehabilitation plan. I’ll begin in a week. What a relief  NAP2614 offered to try to contact our prospective captain through one more facility I never heard about. I hope he’ll be in luck.  Six unpleasant personalities, acpartsman! Do you think HRT could have changed that? What a relief that you found a woman with just one personality, and one that you like ♥. This week I heard of one more man coming out of an unhappy marriage and having the same luck as you. Isn’t it romantic? Everybody deserves a happy partnership  Well, just to keep fit and stay in shape for our Grand Galla SNURK trek in September we could try to stage a small trek, just for the fun of it, with Team Andrax where I am now. Now I know of three Base Campers with SeriousCrunchers, and we have the Edwardian faction – you, acpartsman and your friend davwhite5xq7. I really think Kraland should contribute as well with stefada (he may bring Louloup, of course), who sent urden to spy on me, and it would be nice to see urden again. If at all possible, we shoulg try to pry off ultimaThule from top40.nl just for a few days. He will be issued a return ticket, captain adriverhoef, but we know how he looks at those  - so maybe not! I don’t know about the EVGA boys. They seem pretty occupied, in fact awfully busy, but it can never hurt to ask. NAP2614 might feel like pitching a tent again; he might even like to think of a badge. And I never asked BladeD who crunches with SNURK & Friends how he likes camping. I think he could make as good a Base Camper as he does a word gamer. And Aurum420, that unruly puppy, we need an unruly puppy … pcwr is a UK man. They are loyal. The UK people. That's why they win wars. Can a UK man be moved for five days? Probably not. And our new gamer Fuddrux of 'A Cure for Cancer' He feels like Base Camper material  We need to have a large pool for September, so it looks as if I need to make some cold calls - but how? And where? Shy me  cold calls I think that’s what we’ll do, acpartsman. If for nothing else we’ll get to visit Colorado, specifically Colorado Springs that has enough wonders to keep us mesmerized for days; I could find things to see that would keep us busy. I'm sure captain Johnny Cool would like to show us 'The Valley of Gods' and take us up the many steps at Seven Falls, where I went sugar cold many years ago. I don't want to think about how I'll do today. A five day duration would be a good scale. What do you say? Geezz, I who cannot bake challenged myself by writing myself on that cake list for my German class tomorrow … I have the materials for some ’heart friendly’ cup cakes. Do you listen adriverhoef? Please cross your fingers that I’ll succeed in mixing them materials the right way. If they materialize as a muffin type pastry, I’ll give them a heart icing ♥ I can do that! Probably  |

My intention was that Colorado - Team Andrax - could be a short interlude
until we hopefully can establish contact with the captain I have in mind. If we do the Andrax one - I keep writing 'Anthrax' we'll just postpone the other one somewhat so we shall not get a case of trek fatigue. After all, Base Camping only exists because the of good will of benevolent crunchers like yourself, acpartsman.  |

Good Morning Base Campers!
Had a consultation with my wonderful doctor today where we organized my medications usual and new and scheduled blood work to check on liver and kidneys. I’m due for a heart check-up in three months, and she and I shall meet in three weeks for further talks. I'm happy to report that I'm no longer seriously out of breath when I try to walk at my usual pace, I don't need to stop to rest, nor do my limbs tire jellyfishy any more. What cheer to feel improvement so fast. She mentioned they had quite a few women of my age getting blood clots and they always came utterly unexpectedly for them as thief in the night as it did for me.  Finally it’s time for a bit of winter here. The polar bears have wiped the sweat from their foreheads for weeks on end. The Meteorlogical Institute informs of several things you can do in frosty weather: You can take walks in wetland areas dryfooted. You can successfully dry your clothes outdoors on your clothesline (one of the few things I remember from my physics class in school is: Evaporation of water depends on the temperature, the humidity of the air, and the wind speed. So, frost is perfect, because the air usually is very dry) Money cannot buy a perfume that matches the one a frosty day puts into your bed linen  And it's free    OK acpartsman, you have your bags packed and are ready for a new virtual adventure. No nonsense. Small wonder that Brenda loves you So, let’s do it. Let’s make it into a trek and see who comes. Please, acpartsman, move to Team Andrax when it's convenient for you. May I ask you to notify your friend davwhite5xq7 with the Edwardians, too, please? Captain Johnny Cool and some team mates talk in their team thread here Because of this haphazard non-planning  I think we better make it last 10 days:Start: Today February 2 (Groundhog Day in the US, Kyndelmisse in Denmark where winter traditionally ties a hardest knot) Did Phil see his shadow? End: February 12 Badge: To come Location: Colorado, especially Colorado Springs Yesterday, I mentioned the possibility of us turning this into a Base Camp trek in order to gauge captain Johnny Cool’s interest. I’m sorry to say he did not even notice my question … When I visited Colorado Springs some 20 years ago, I first and foremost noticed the topography. To the east was a plain with no end in sight, to the west the Rocky Mountains manifested themselves rather abruptly. In the border region was the Garden of the Gods. And it did look like Paradise I’m such a sucker for red rocks!   Well, I better be off trying to make some potential Base Campers pitch their tents at Team Andrax Travel music  |

acpartsman, I never saw anything like it. On our top40.nl trek we had a wonderful temporary captain who turned that trek – lasting about a month – into a very entertaining affair.
But you are an active – proactive I think we should call it – Base Camper. A natural if I ever saw one You campaign with your network! My eyes are leaving their sockets. Oh, what can I say? You wipe me legs off the ground, Sir. I’ve done a bit of legwork (before you swept those legs) as well and returned with one letter-of-intent from EVGA-boy yodap who will arrive by midweek in his orangutan gear and rasta hat. I resorted to the dirty trick of using the Attention – Achtung – Attenzione!’ thread in order to get some – well attention from the Base Campers out there who don’t know they are Base Campers yet   |

Good Afternoon Base Campers!
acpartsman there you are ready to have your results ascribed to you and Team Andrax. We're waiting for your friend to make the move, and I have been here for a bit already. The SeriousCrunchers faction stay put working on the next huge milestone the for their team. They just passed 95,000,000 so 100 mio must be just around the corner. They have not promised anything either. yodap will not come until next week, so it looks as if we are just us three. Musketeers in fancy clothing ....  I have a suggestion for a badge. I shipped it to NAP2614 for review. Maybe he has something also. Johnny Cool didn't take us anywhere, so we'll just go visit the Air Force Academy with its architecturally interesting 'Cadet Chapel' and generally no nonsense functional campus layout on the backdrop of the Rocky Mountains.  Very square. And here and there we find an airplane put up for decorative purposes. We'll drop in at one of the many eateries and get a square meal . I have no idea what this is, but it looks delicious. Bon appetit! See you tomorrow |
