Place: The Survivors Duration: July 20 – July 27 Badge:   Good Morning Base Campers! Business OK, tanner2 eliminated himself  Nevertheless he shall also have a badge under his old tanner2 name as I got to know him. Looking forward to getting used to tanner the Third. Our trek ends today. Personally, I unprecedentedly left prematurely yesterday for Global Protection Team. I got an offer I simply couldn’t refuse …  That CONCORDE!Thank you all for coming  I’ll post your badges ASAP in the Base Camp Hall of Fame. Chit-chat Planned a daytrip with my old classmate to a market town on our ’South Sea Island’ of Lalandia Sunday, hoping upon returning home to get to see Dodekalitten  a mystic work of art showing 12 tall humming statues taking your mind to Stonehenge and Easter Island mixing it with the huge white men staring out to the North Sea ….  |

Good Afternoon Base Campers! Thank you for your song, stefada, and thank you for the pretty pictures. I really hope the temperatures will stay in the low end as I'm going to Provence, France, very soon. Four nights at Mon Ventoux  - isn't that a great wordplay on Mont Ventoux? to see the hopefully flowering lavender fields that are on my Bucket List  then relocating to Grenoble for another four nights. That seems to be a real hot pot sitting down in the valley sheltered by tall Alps ....  |

----------------------------------------Good Morning Base Campers! Welcome T.G.Wakko  what a pleasure to see you again. I have often thought [I think 'think of' is the correct wording here] Have you gotten children of your own or do you still borrow nieces and nephews? Do you still have your weather station? And you have to refresh my memory: Is it Iowa? After a lull, Base Camp has been operative for just about two years again now. From the UD days TLD has been here all the time  Not long ago we had cswchan joining and shortly after, jan649 popped up again. sunfolk comes now and then. And now you, T.G.Wakko This is so very nice. In the meantime, we have been joined regularly by several permanent Base Campers and ad hoc by others. Below you’ll see the badges you missed – ironically one of our most recent trek went to The Christians  Personally, I feel old and tired these days, so I have no treks planned which by no means means that a trek cannot be arranged by any Base Camper. And I'll be there  Last year after a successful month long GRAND GALLA SNURK CELEBRATION trek that sort of ran amok, I promised SeriousCrunchers to try to help them make una bella figura in The 2019 THOR CHALLENGE, which as far as I know takes place in September, and we must see what we can do about that. Apart from that, Base Camp business is not what it used to be. Teams – especially new and/or active ones are few and far between, so we may have outplayed our role to a certain extent  Still, I’m so happy to see you T.G.Wakko - please stay forever  - as to your signature, I’m sure someone with skills will come around and kickstart it for you anew.
