Good Morning Base Campers!
Conversation  NiceMedTexMD, it has been an incredibly long time since your Captain keithhenry posted. Base Camp made a trek designed as a competition, and the Base Camp crew stood to win. About that time was the last we heard from keithhenry - not that I think this was the reason. Just a coincidence. By the way, GeraldRube is working on the Base Camp crew supporting Sawyer's Cancer Fighting Network GeraldRube is currently - I don't know if one can regain access after being banned off the Forum because of a series of ill chosen postings in 'The Daily Danish'.  B2I, have a nice trip. We're looking forward to having you back. BladeD, because Base Camp has a marathon double trek to Sawyer's Cancer Fighting Network Mapping Cancer Markers is the project of choice since Sawyer prefers cancer projects. TLD, nice work. I understand the WUs have been (are?) hard to come by. I myself have been two days from bronze ever since OldChap switched me to MCM.  |

How many people are active in this group little mermaid? I'm looking to get back into the crunching and interaction with people world.. haven't done so in awhile. I miss keith and my group, but I want to be more active also..

Hey all. Went back to Gridcoin to prepare for a new software release from them that could have a huge impact on all of us.
----------------------------------------Up until now, you had to be a member of their team to earn GridCoin. with new a software release, you can be a member of any team (great for basecampers) and earn coins. The world of crypto currency is complex and there is a steep learning curve to understand what is going on. But, as soon as the new software drops I test it out by changing back to where ever you campers are and see how it goes. The Gridcoin developers tell me they are in the final stages of testing. I will be one of the first of the operational testers to help find the bugs and help other WCG crunchers along in getting involved. Gridcoin is the only crypto currency that actually rewards useful work and not just converting electricity to heat in trying to be first to produce a useless number like bitcoin. Good Afternoon Base Campers!
Conversation NiceMedTexMD, Base Camp is not a team in the ordinary meaning of the word. Base Campers have home teams. When we go on treks to other teams - and we do that when we find an occasion to Base Campers from near and far join this particular host team. For the time being, we're trekking with Sawyer's Cancer Fighting Network in the longest lasting trek, Base Camp ever made. You're welcome to join  You'll even be rewarded with these two badges   E-mail, BladeD do you read e-mails? There were no juicy details  just references to imminent the fall of the European continent.B2I, I'm sure many would be interested in hearing about your Gridcoin tests. You're welcome to post here, but perhaps you'll reach a wider audience by creating a new thread as you suggest.  |
