High, when I try to updated my work units, I am getting a message:
Requesting 0 seconds of new work Scheduler request succeeded: got 0 new tasks Obviously, no work is done because nothing gets downloaded. Can you help me to correct this? thanks |

"Update" only gets more work if your work buffer is under the limit.
Do you have a task in progress? |

Thanks for the reply.
Yes, I do have two work units running, but only for climateprediction.net and none for world community grid. I have set the same preferences for both projects |

This behaviour is normal.
Let the BOINC scheduler decide when it needs work. The way it works is too complicated for it to be worthwhile trying to adjust it manually. |

Seeing CPDN as a project, could it be jstarka is trying to get AC@H jobs without the 'alternate work' option selected. There are 820 of these tasks on offer in a week whilst WCG did 2.1 million in the past 7 days for all its projects combined.... a minute chance getting any AfricanClimate@Home work.
----------------------------------------If that is not the case and the 'alternate work' option is on, briefly suspend CPDN project on the project tab and see if the client pulls WCG work at all. CPDN jobs are very very long and 2 parallel could cause for them to push any other projects aside. They have a deadline, though in real live have no deadline, which BOINC of course does not understand. Eventually, a client with CPDN could end up in Deadline contention and cause no other work to be fetched for longer periods.

Sekerob, I disagree. The posted messages are inconsistent with that possibility (although it does match the other circumstances).

Hi, I wanted to let you know that I cancelled the climate prediction project where I was getting error messages and restarted all projects. Now everything is running fine - I have one new climateprediction project running, in addition Seti@home and also World Community Grid from time to time.
