I need to get rid of an errant registration.
----------------------------------------I got permission from an organization to start a team, which I did, and with a new id. But when I went to transfer all of my WCG and BOINC tasks, I wound staying with my current registration. So, I am listed as Team captain under my old original registration. The new registration is just hanging out their like an exposed appendix in the operating suite. So, how do i get rid of it, it is associated with no projects or teams. Thanks, >>RSM |

Hello mitrichr,
I assume that you have 2 member names. The first question to ask is whether or not you registered both with the same email address? The WCG site does not merge different member names, but BOINC statistics pay attention to email addresses. Lawrence |

No, the errant registration was made at a web based email address, as opposed to the proper one which is based in one of my ISP's.

Hello mitrichr,
If you change the email address for one of the registrations to match the other, then BOINC statistics will catch the change, but the WCG site is not set up to delete or merge different member names. Our server is not standard BOINC. It began with UD code and cannot do everything that other BOINC sites can. Lawrence |

Lawrence- That is a generic email sent to every membername with no activity, in hopes of getting a few to recontribute. Don't worry about it. E-mail here is intended to be few, and you should not get swamped with e-mail from WCG. It does at least make you aware of all membernames registered.
