Re: THE EDWARDIANS - MARCH ON

Evening all

Not only could we stop this changing clocks twice a year, we could do it just once and coincide with the rest of Europe which makes more sense.
I have one radio controlled clock that refuses to recognize the British signal. It came with me when I returned to the UK from Germany (where my German was so bad they thought I was Dutch) and no matter how many times I try to re-set the thing, it always returns to Continental time.
It will automatically change tonight but keep the link with you Baron.

Re: THE EDWARDIANS - MARCH ON

Good morning all smile
Talk about hassle, my alarm clock sets itself and it was made before the US changes the DST changeover dates, so this morning I wake up and it thinks it's 7:00 when it's really still 8:00. Good thing I set my cell phone alarm.
Furthermore, not all of the US uses DST, how would you like to live in a DST area nad work in a non-DST area? confused Kinda like living near a time line.
It would suit me just fine if DST became normal time, after work and weekends are the only time I have to do anything anyway.

Y'all have a great day. cool

Re: THE EDWARDIANS - MARCH ON

I know what you mean. I worked on the QE2 for 6 months in the 70's, and when we crossed the Atlantic, we had to change an hour every day!!!, and again on the way back rolling eyes

Re: THE EDWARDIANS - MARCH ON

Evening all

Quiet in here again but it's been sunny down South in the smoke as well so I feel reasonably cheerful.
