good news / bad news
good news: have moved desktop to MOT at POEM@HOME bad news: have moved desktop to MOT at POEM@HOME laptop stays with WCG since it blows through DDDT workunits at a stupidly fast pace. It will remain on 24/7 from now on (barring times when I need it for class or work). My desktop will be less reliable since it will be turned off when the weather gets hot again. |

Good morning MOT. Well, I must admit that I really like POEM. Solid science, dynamic stat’s updates, and none of this pending validation crapola!!! No bad work units, no points arguments and guess what? ... they have real forum software!!!  You don’t even have to stand on your head to use it.  I am leaving a few machines there. I’m also checking out another project.Good job parmesian!!! ... now watch out!!!   Hey, are you on MOT at POEM? |

WHEN WILL POSTING END?
----------------------------------------Any of you ask that question each day? Seems it varies widely daily. Is it two hours? ... or 3 hours today? More? It is amusing to watch all the regulars (including myself) gather in the forum, one by one, to await today’s point’s announcement from above.  This antiquated “batch posting” system is so out-of-touch with other DC projects which update dynamically. The WCG process and points was the beta max format in a VCR world and has now become the HD format in a Blue Ray world.  I’d post this in the general (lamer software) forum but I’d just start another “greenies” thread.  |

Yeah, I concur. That said, I pulled my desktop off POEM@HOME. For some reason, it won't add my WCG Boinc stats with my POEM@HOME Boinc stats, so I'm stuck with WCG until I figure that out.

Yeah, I concur. That said, I pulled my desktop off POEM@HOME. For some reason, it won't add my WCG Boinc stats with my POEM@HOME Boinc stats, so I'm stuck with WCG until I figure that out. Did you enter your cross-project ID? If so, it should pick them up. |
