If you got a private email from me regurding changes in SSA, realize that it was designed to be informational only and not intended that you sign it.
----------------------------------------All the emails were Bcc's, which means such. The problem is that depending on which email you got, it may not be possible to know this. The petition was only passed to the next person by me allown.     |

Just a reminder, FreeDC isnt recording stat from WCG, so I cant see the team's progress as closely as normal. If you have a milestone coming, I may not see it.

Those don't bother me any, but I have found that they are ineffective. If you really want to get a politician's attention, instead of 1 email with 1000 signarures (which can't be verified) have 1000 people send him 1 email each. When their inbox is full of people with an opinion, they pay more attention. |

I totaly agree. The objective really isnt send a petition around to get siggy's. It, as you say, is worthless. The intent was informative to anyone that the petition wasnt really directed to. What is worse, is that some may actually start a new spur in the current email, making it even more worthless.
----------------------------------------The part I didnt think would happend, happend. Now I am going back down the email list with another email that clears the issue, but it is taking some time. The list is about 1500, so I think you can understand why a quick blanket retraction to anything other than the primary intent of informing others of, what I consider, an amazing insanity: SOCIAL SECURITY CHANGES It does not matter if you personally like or dislike Bush. You need to sign this petition and flood his e-mail box with e-mails that tell him that, even if the House passes this bill, he needs to veto it. It is already impossible to live on Social Security alone. If the government gives benefits to 'illegal' aliens who have never contributed, where does that leave those of us who have paid into Social Security all our working lives?
