Mine slowed down, but didn't freeze, when I ran the BOINC projects. I then bought and installed the maximum amount of RAM memory it could handle; it now runs at full speed even with BOINC running, except when I run an especially busy program, such as my virus scanner.

First this thread is not in the Chat Room, it is in Boinc Agent Support where threads initiated by some member may be useful to other members, even without you and us noticing it: there are more silent readers of WCG fora than posters.

Second, even in the Chat Room it is not WCG's policy to erase threads unless they are strongly violating the forum rules.

Third, techs have already so much to do, if they also had to erase, lock, or whatever else, threads for convenience we would never see any progress or improvements on WCG's website and servers.
