My apolgoies in advance for stepping over you. I am trying to run down Ploetner and his San Diego robots from about 8 days back. May have to add some more equipment to catch up. Ha Ha Ha.

After all of the drama of recent days, I thought it would be refreshing to members of our team to read a post in one of the several threads now being maintained by Tribalwar (it must be confusing and time consuming for them to try to keep up with three threads here and the several hundred on their own website). In his post at http://www.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/wcg/...thread=2096&offset=55, Tribalwar team member Brasstax recalls earlier halcyon days among the members of the gaming community that had banded together to form what is now Tribalwar. It was very interesting to note that Tribalwar originally was known of as MyOnlineBoard, so we may have more in common with many of their team than we think. Of their 540 currently active WCG members, we have only heard from a very small number, and we should remember that they were a strong, polite and quietly growing team here in the WCG before recent events. Brasstax ended his post with Now GOGOGGOGOGOGOGO fold some proteins! Which is not too different from a closing we often use Happy Crunching! |

Edited: So as to keep anyone from thinking I'm trying to start a flame war -- unsurprisingly, the fellow who thought my screenshot of our reactions to that post constituted a "flame" is the same person who penned the post quoted above -- I'll just let everyone know that: 1) The post by Brasstax that is referred to was 100% facetious, and you've been had. Quoting Brasstax himself from a thread on TW: Hahaha. That's too funny. I never figured anyone would take that drivel I posted seriously. 2) At the risk of laboring the point -- TribalWar.com has never been called "MyOnlineBoard".  I will repost the original body of this message -- which consisted of a single screenshot of the IRC window after I quoted that post -- at https://secure.worldcommunitygrid.org/forums/...ead=2096&lastpage=yes3) Anyone who really thinks that this version or the previous version of this post constituted a flame or an attempt to start a flame war is being entirely unreasonable. If you lack the ability to laugh at yourself when you've been had, that doesn't make it any less funny, and it certainly doesn't make it objectionable! I advise that you learn to take such things in the manner in which they are both intended and the manner in which reasonable people interpret them: as something funny and inconsequential.
