Maybe you should try DDDT or Rice to see if it is better. Abort this FAAH WU if necessary. And if it is still the same with the smaller tasks then you will have to disable hyperthreading again, but that would be too bad. Good luck. Jean. DDDT should check point every few minutes as well as RICE. FAAH may take a little bit longer between check points. The work units now checkpoint probably every 20-30 minutes on your machine. These are estimates because FAAH work units vary a little bit. But you should checkpoint about 35 times over the course of a work unit for FAAH. (note: 35 times is over the course of a work unit in batch 4993 and varies a depending on batch). Also, please check that you have your preferences in device profiles set to allow writing to disk every 60 seconds... -Uplinger |

how often are there breaks? time or percentage wise? It depends on the project. See the following Start Here FAQ Project Checkpoint Saving - How to Minimize Progress Loss on Close/Restart for details. For DDDT it is about every 0.2 %. For Rice you may have a look at the graphics to see it: there is a checkpoint every time the lower progress-o-meter reaches 100 %. In this FAQ don't miss the part about how to make checkpoints being logged in the message log (cc_config.xml file). Cheers. i think i know what the problem was with the FAAH!
It saves everytime the green energy resets. that particular WU had only one energy. So it could of taken a lot longer for that one to save then the other ones. |
