Thank you, Dataman - I stand humbly corrected. ![]() For those who wish to crunch outside WCG, may I humbly suggest the following: 1st: More important than any other reason ... Look at the science. Is this something you think could produce some results? Do you want to invest your resources in it? Unfortunately there are projects that duplicate other efforts and those that exist only to get a Prof. tenure or the grad students an advanced degree. H3ll, you can't be an major university these days if you don't have a DC project. ![]() 2nd: LOOK AT THE SCIENCE. ![]() 3rd: How well is the project administrated? Do they test well or just dump stuff out for the crunchers to find? How much effort do they take to fix mistakes? Can they keep their network up? Do they run out of wu's often? Is that acceptable to you? 4th:: How long do wu's run? Are those times acceptable to you? Some run in minutes and some run in months. I love CPND but comitting cores to wu's that can take over 90 days is not something I want to run very often. Bottom of the Heap: Credits, badges and other nifty stuff. ![]() ![]() Just my opinion .... ![]() ![]() |

More links to more graphics. Use the TinyURL version where you are limited on characters. The longer version can be used elsewhere.

I wish someone would have the balls to put up a project to disprove man made global warming. Maybe that will come. Edit - I had a cute little kitty graphic, but the links that were just posted aren't working for me... Edit 2 - My firewall is blocking access to TinyURL. Haven't figured out why yet, but the answer is in my log files. I just need to get in the mood to read them! ![]() Edit 3 - I have a NetGear firewall, and it hates tinyURL. Has anyone heard anything bad about that site? It did an update on 29 Apr 09. The only way I can get to it is to put my computer in the DMZ. Hmmm... I guess I need to read the log files.

Edit - I had a cute little kitty graphic, but the links that were just posted aren't working for me. The posts provide two links for each graphic. The TinyURL one is best for use in space limited things like signatures. The other one can be used in posts and other places where you're not limited on characters. For the cat one, you can use tinyurl.com/c9497e ![]() |
