Hi all: I have completed 2 wu for this project:
flu10101a0020_ 100242_ 0-- M-06 Valid 5/5/09 21:23:38 5/6/09 07:16:39 5.44 84.1 / 89.1 flu10101a0020_ 100376_ 0-- M-06 Valid 5/5/09 21:23:00 5/6/09 03:43:18 4.69 72.6 / 77.2 and the credit granted is nowhere near the averages stated for the project! Averages: Run Time Per Calendar Day (y:d:h:m:s) 1:004:12:57:58 Run Time Per Result (y:d:h:m:s) 0:000:05:01:40 Points Per Hour of Run Time 115.76 Points Per Calendar Day 1,026,679.50 Points Per Result 582.02 Results Per Calendar Day 1,764.00 Why is this? |

It's because the insane fast machines returning results first generate allot more fpops than yours. Given your claims are lower than the actual grant you should be happy too though.

Remember, the claimed credits and granted credits on the WU results page are BOINC credits. The points in your statistic are WCG points. Don't mix that. On an average WCG points and BOINC credits have a ratio of 7 to 1: 1 BOINC credit ~ 7 WCG points.

Hi.
My question is along the same line, the tasks that i have returned seem to be taking a while to validate (hours). Is that normal for single tasks or is the validator slow for some reason. pete. |

The validator routine will sometimes wait a few hours before running. knreed commented about this a week or so ago. He is fiddling around with a lot of different processes on the server. Lawrence |

HI All,
I've also at least 10 tasks completed waiting for validation. It seems that it's waiting for a second process by another computer before being validated. Some of my tasks are already waiting for 2 days for validation. |

If the WU detail shows there's a second or subsequent copy "In Progress", you'll have to exercise patience. Worst case, as long as a few days after the deadline until quorum is complete. You can see in the WU detail header how many are needed for quorum. See the Start Here forum FAQ's for detail.
