There has not been an official update for a little while, but based on the work done (tasks completed) since last, we are I think past midpoint of the calculations... > 50% (51.04% by approximation as at this afternoon).

This afternoon the quad netted a grand child of batch 1467 and has queued children through batch 1482. This suggests we're multiple percentage points ahead of the official ''graal'' updates... very nearly 60% now me abacus thinkeths.

still waiting for those lighter dockings SekeRob, I'm of the opinion that the dockings are already getting gradually lighter - as I'm seeing very, very few great grand-children, and quite a few of the children my computer processes, complete before the timeout limit kicks in. Certainly, the last time I was crunching this project (several months ago - so as to go from Gold to Ruby), I saw a lot more grand-children/great-grandchildren around than I am now. ![]() |

Well, I've now received some work from batch #1,511 - so we've now less than 1,000 batches to go from the original 2,467 total
----------------------------------------![]() No need to start pressing the panic button just yet - although if you're wanting a high badge/don't have a lot of power to throw at it, now may be a time to start planning if it'll take you more than a year to get where you want to finally end up ![]() ![]() |

Going by their chart, it looks like the 1500s will be the toughest remaining group of batches to crunch through, including the Batch of Doom in the 1590s. I can't wait!

Statistics updated for February 18... 59.78% percent done.
----------------------------------------http://graal.ens-lyon.fr/~nbard/WCGStats/ And of course we are crunching several points ahead of that most likely. I am feeling doubtful of the projected end-date unless there is some other mitigating factor like a new project. Especially since when HFCC ends, badge-hunter attention will next be directed at HCMD2. Any comments from the experts? ![]() |

Don't know what date you have for HCMD2 to end... it's as we all know depending on the dynamics of the grid and the ever increasing mean power of the clients and the quantity of them. E.g. HCC with extremely stable run times was 2.62 hours in September and has been gradually dropping to now 2.44 in February. That's almost 7% more *per-core* power.
----------------------------------------Was thinking that a new project/phase would get going before or close to when HFCC ends and in fact at least 3 are planned to launch in 2011, at least. edit: Looked on the quad and see several running of batches 152x ... all parents and all heading to run close to 10 hours... no children for these, if run on a quad of course :D. Q2-2012 is my current and recent extrapolation. edit2:... but then as one always has, when poking, the greatest-grand-child arrives with rush priority: CMD2_1481-2IIZ_A.clustersOccur-2E31_A.clustersOccur_1_17603_21203_18262_19732_19188_19732_19269_19500 [Edit 2 times, last edit by Former Member at Feb 21, 2011 1:46:39 PM] |

Just watching the number (the total percentage crunched and the batch numbers), it seems to me like it would finish before Q2-2012, especially factoring in the end of HFCC. But if three projects really launch in 2011, I see how it could extend to Q2-2012 I guess.
----------------------------------------I have also noticed many more WUs finishing til the end when I am crunching HCMD2 these days. I have a big decision to make soon - I only have a few cores, so if I want to make emerald on my favorite project, I probably need to start fairly soon. We'll see I guess. Going to try to knock out ruby at C4CW first. ![]() |
