We are further ahead than the website says. I think it is fair to say that we are always ahead of what the website says.
One of the researchers (gemineo) provided this information previously: Right, there is always a delay between the moment a WU is actually calculated and the time it is sent back to our servers. Batch results are divided into sub-parts. Each sub-part contains the results for X couples of proteins. Because of the way the WUs are managed (with the children, grandchildren, etc.) it may take a lot of time to actually have a complete sub-part. And because the sub-parts are only sent back to us once they are complete, it explains why there is a delay between what's actually being computed by the clients and what appears on our completion charts. One missing great-grand-child is sufficient to make the whole sub-part "sleep". Partial blue bars on the charts indicates that not all sub-parts were sent at the time of the update. |
