Re: The Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy Crunching Chart

Martin, I think that "achieved" is not exactly the right word. 4.4% is the amount of work done and already sent back to our servers. Look carefully at the "Batch completion status" chart and compare it to the "batch number" your client is actually crunching on. You will then have a rough idea of the difference.

Ah, so this means that there are a lot of (valid) results on the WCG servers that have not yet been reflected in the "batch competion chart"? On the chart there are some bars that are partly blue, so I guess this is not related to only showing fully completed batches in your numbers, but to a certain delay of validated results being transferred back to you?

Regards,
Martin

Re: The Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy Crunching Chart

Right, there is always a delay between the moment a WU is actually calculated and the time it is sent back to our servers.

Batch results are divided into sub-parts. Each sub-part contains the results for X couples of proteins. Because of the way the WUs are managed (with the children, grandchildren, etc.) it may take a lot of time to actually have a complete sub-part. And because the sub-parts are only sent back to us once they are complete, it explains why there is a delay between what's actually being computed by the clients and what appears on our completion charts. One missing great-grand-child is sufficient to make the whole sub-part "sleep".

Partial blue bars on the charts indicates that not all sub-parts were sent at the time of the update.

Re: The Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy Crunching Chart

It looks like we have reached batch number 148, the largest batch to date and for quite some time:

CMD2_ 0148-2E9I_ A.clustersOccur-3C5K_ A.clustersOccur_ 0_ 0--

If my interpretation is correct, I happened to draw the very first parent number 0 in the lottery blushing

Martin

Interpretation is correct... for these two molecules 2E9I and 3C5K.
But a batch contains many different dockings.
Anyway, things are going on steadily, that's what matters more. smile

The right clue is not a particular posting, it is the... absence of postings from Sekerob since a while (which I think most regular readers of our forum have noticed).
Nothing wrong with that, he told us backstage that he would be off for a while, so I hope he has a much deserved good time. smile

And when he is back he will certainly appreciate your kind words. Jean.

I noticed the absence of Sekerob as well.

Well, Sekerob has been very active for us in here, so many postings he made, so many help he offered and of course the charts he created and updated.
I hope he will enjoy the 'time off' and I hope he will return when the time is right for him. Of course we're curious about the reasons, but it's good to read his absence is planned and not just disappeared with unknown reason.

Thank you for letting us know, Jean
