On Jan 27--from knreed:
193,151 'Parent' currently available to send 15,491 'Children' currently available to send 7,086 'Grand-Children' currently available to send 718 'Great Grand-Children' currently available to send 3 'Great Great Grand-Children' currently available to send Today from knreed: 74665 Parents 166964 Children 18548 Grand Children 2048 Great-Grand Children The way I figure it, on Jan 27 there were 216,449 WU available, now there are 262,225 WUs. I have no idea whether this is a good or bad thing for those racing for their next badge, like me going for the emerald with 70 CPU days left..wondering if I should increase my cache or not to worry with 8 calender days to go. |

The first quoted children related to the parents before the 193,151.
----------------------------------------As knreed indicated previously, the average parent yields 2.5 offspring so: 1 parent [2], 2 children [4], 4 grandchildren [8], 2 great grandchildren [4]. At quorum 2, so 1 parent yields a total of about 18 tasks. Take 74,665 parents would be good for another 1,34 million tasks, at a rate of 100k validating daily is 14 days worth of uninterrupted feeding, assuming all caches are currently saturated. Of course, it's all IIRC. --//-- edit: insert "another". As explained by gb009761, these children will add to the back end release and to the children to generate from incomplete parent quorums still out there, prior to the 74,665. rewood1000, as knreed has stated, at the moment, they're only distributing the Parent WU's. So, during this period, 118486 parents have been sent out (x2 for the actual number when taking in the quorum's).
----------------------------------------Where the huge increase has come from, is from the number of child/grandchild etc., WU's that are awaiting to be sent. Personally, I'd slowly start increasing my cache - particularly so, when all the parents are gone. Obviously though, this project can have swinging DCF changes, so that'll have to also be taken into consideration... Finally, good luck in reaching Emerald.  |

Knreed also mentioned, but few people are going to catch, his numbers are behind what the server is dishing out. So add more on top of what he posted. The FAQs or Sekerob can probably comment better on the lag between loading and sending, but it's not small.
