Just installed this and here is how to do it without hassle. Have Boinc running.
----------------------------------------1. When installing use the advanced not the simple. 2. Do not install the anti- virus section. 3. Use the 'Clean PC Mode' which assumes you have already checked your system with other software before hand. 4. Run in Safe Mode Using the Clean PC mode informs Comodo that everything currently on your PC is the good stuff and it will not interfere with it. Everything carries on as normal. However, if you load new software it will have to be 'cleared' with Comodo. Seems to be a nice piece of kit....will let you know if there are problems.... ![]() [Edit 1 times, last edit by Former Member at Jun 10, 2009 6:41:17 AM] |

I did it the other way around saying NO to the FW part, only wanting the AV and suddenly I had 2 FWs battling it out, which is why I'm interest to hear how you do.

Checking in the Configuration settings, it shows only the FW as active. The other 3 components are shown as blank.
I have used most of the stuff I do without a problem. Overnight all my update features run, so we will see. No impact on BOINC visible at all....... |

Their newsletter arrived [still need to sign out] and they assimilated even more into the kit... a SpyBot like app I ran for a while.
---------------------------------------- TECHNICAL NEWS Comodo Internet Security 3.9 Available in Other Languages Aleksei may be particularly interested to know that Comodo Internet Security debuted in other languages, including Russian, on May 13. This new and improved version of Comodo Internet Security also integrates Comodo's highly-regarded anti-malware software, BOClean.

Now you touch on exactly the part that peed me off. It said inactive for the FW part when testing it back when, yet portions were still interfering. Got another brand Firewall going same time?

No, no other FW, I only wanted this part as I have issues with Zone alarm on this machine....it seems to cause lots of 'browser' copies in the Task Manager and they will not abort. Not seen this problem since moving to Comode.
ZA did same with IE7&8, Firefox and Chrome, but Comode okk ATM |
