46th and falling fast. Was as high as the teens a year or so ago. Lost all my crunching PCs at work when they decided it was better for them to save money than lives. 48th  Down to 67th. Down a little more...now 87th but holding steady, for now.  95th  |

Today at 72,409. Got to rank 80,000 by patiently running my old Dell laptop 24/7 falt out for more than a year (processor setting at 100%, nice and warm). But then started plateauing so have just added a four year old Russian desk top given to me by a friend. And last week ordered a new Dell lap top with an i5 processor. Curious to see where that will take things - but clearly the top 5,000 is well out of reach with this level of gear... Still, very good fun! Happy crunching all...

Down a little more...now 87th but holding steady, for now. 95th We crossed path brinktastee a few days ago. I am sorry did not take time to shake hands. I am up to 88th now. But it becomes very hard. Every step up needs an incredible crunching effort. Long are gone the days were you could jump 100 ranks in a day.   |
