Re: Christians are giving......come give with us!

Thanks all. I didn't realize I hit a milestone. My old i7 920 still faithfully crunches since 2009. I want to build a new machine but this one still works great, so I can't justify it. It's still faster than most of the newer computers I support in my IT business.

Our team is doing really well! Especially considering that we have about 100 active members out of the 605 total.

Diana G. let me know that she will be crunching again soon when she gets her new computer.

Good job, everyone!

Surely you didn't do over 31,000 Boinc points yesterday with a single i7 920. laughing

Agreed! The top 100 is a busy place to be. Lots of good contributions up and down the board.

Excellent! It will be great to see her active again. Both she and jal2 were very welcoming when I found my way over here...wow, over 7 years ago.

By the way, RAID Xero , I am launching my counter attack. Hopefully it starts showing up in the stats over the next couple of days. I see you're about 25,000 ahead of me, but you just knocked out 17,000 points while I barely cleared 6,000. That's a big gap to close just to tread water. But, I'm definitely going to try!

Re: Christians are giving......come give with us!

Raid Xero and I have traded places, seemingly in more ways than one. Yesterday I did over 20,000 while he did about 7,000. I'm now ahead of him by about 10,000.

Unlike many magicians or founders of restaurants, I can give away my trade secret. https://cloud.google.com/free-trial/ $300 of Google cloud money to spend over 60 days.

I just want to loop back around to give God honor. I've been a long time DC Junky. Pecos's setup makes me drool and green with envy and if left on my own, I might try to replicate that in smaller scale. But since being married and becoming a father, crunchers don't really make it into the budget. However, work has provided me a laptop preloaded with Boinc, monthly Windows Azure credits, and then there's the occasional free cloud trial like I just listed. The end result is that I'm currently able to give my highest output since the HCC GPU days. Our heavenly Father knows how to give good gifts!

Crunch on!

It takes time and lots of work to raise the kido's. I put all 3 of mine through private school (even tho public was free). I wanted them to get a good education (better than public school could of).
As the kid's move out I've found I have afew extra pennies left over. biggrin
That and I almost never buy the newest thing out there.
