I want to say thanks to all the Base Campers for your run with us, and for what your organization represents. (The crunching part, not the sheep pen part.
 ) You bring fun and cycles where ever you camp, and that's what this hobby is all about.I thought this project was almost finished so i pulled out a few weeks ago to let those that were trying to reach a certain goal a few more WUs. I'll recheck the block. Thanks, B2I! We still have over 1 Million results of Target 10 to finish, and they recently announced an 11th target which will be released in April, I believe. That will give us months more of crunching. And who knows, maybe we'll give them enough good material to release a Target 12! After day 2 of the challenge, we sit in 6th place. We are tantalizingly close to 5th, however, needing just 20 results to get us over that hump. And even 3nd place is only 90 results away. Also, Uber_dude, looks like you have added some new hardware! You're sitting at 50,000 for the day and it's not over yet. Welcome to the punch me in the nose club.  pandelta can give you a membership card. |

Happy New Year,
I needed a new video card so I tried to get one that would do a good job at GPU crunching. Went a bit over budget as I certainly don't need a gaming card as I don't play games. After adding a Sapphire HD Radeon 7850 2GB card my machine jumped from an average of 41,000 points a day to over 150,000 points a day and climbing. Now crunching 8 cores plus GPU on a Windows 7 64x machine. 2 cores on an older dell. 2 cores on an old laptop. For a total of 12 cores with GPU. I'm a happy cruncher. |

I don't think he was the only one to have a Nice visit from Santa. I see other stats jump around the end of Dec. Agreed! Lots of folks are cranking out big numbers. The team is easily inside the top 20 each day, sometimes cracking the top 10! Doing 10,000 Boinc points a day doesn't even guarantee you a spot in the team's top 10. I know there are still Campers piling on the work, but there are plenty of points coming throughout the roster. A quick update on the HFCC challenge. We're now just 12 results out of 5th, and 4th is just 30 results away. |

 We're also closing in on 4th; now just 18 results away! Getting on the podium will take more work, 171 results to make up. Certainly doable though.  |
