Re: Final Batches of IADS have been determined.

I've buffered about calendar 7 days work on my i7 to lift this project up to Sapphire. All other machines I've set on Rice.

Thanks for the update. I'll reach Emerald fairly easily for this one, I think.

Phew - Just got my Sapphire. Now to focus on Rice, HFCC and Help Cure Muscular Dystrophy.

I think I'll focus on Rice first.

Re: Final Batches of IADS have been determined.

Hmm. I'm getting rather a lot of these messages at the moment:
Thu 24 Sep 2009 19:47:55 EST|World Community Grid|Message from server: No work sent
Thu 24 Sep 2009 19:47:55 EST|World Community Grid|Message from server: No work is available for Influenza Antiviral Drug Search
Thu 24 Sep 2009 19:47:55 EST|World Community Grid|Message from server: No work available for the applications you have selected. Please check your settings on the website.

I think I'm going to have to increase my caches by quite a lot to mitigate this.

Re: Final Batches of IADS have been determined.

I also saw some no work available messages in my log yesterday.

I noticed our batches/day jumped up yesterday to around 77 from 55. I suspect someone with a lot of computers is queueing up work units. That would explain the "No work is available" message.

If we keep the 77 batches/day rate then the new work will be sent in 6 days. Let's keep our fingers crossed that it was a one day spike and we still have 8 days of new work left per Uplinger's estimate.

Re: Final Batches of IADS have been determined.

There was no appreciable jump in work validated, so it is likely buffering up. Here the last 7 days of work completed:

17 25,191
18 25,108
19 25,323
20 24,275
21 24,843
22 24,229
23 25,903

Re: Final Batches of IADS have been determined.

I suspect that the daily feed limitation, is somewhere around the 77 batches/day - and thus, hopefully, it's just simply a case of 'running out of todays workload'...

On a personal level, I'm currently at the 75 days CPU contribution level, and thus, "in theory", I've got enough stacked up in my queue to just get me my Gold badge. Thing is, until I know for sure (i.e., it shows up in my stats), I may still require the odd one or two WU's. Okay, I could store more up in my queue, although that could then mean that I process more than I need - thus, reducing the number of WU's available for others...

Talk about cutting it fine...
