Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

The downsides are not insubstantial

Agricultural land turned over to Biofuel Generation already has consequences. Food Prices have rocketed and a staple diet is now beyond the means of the poor and this will only get worse. People will starve - this is insane

Why support a Nutritious Rice for the World Project when viable agricultural land is being utilised to generate Ethanol for transport - this is insane

Area's of Tropical Rainforest are being cleared and replanted with Oil Palm which is then transported across the Globe to be poured into EU Cars and Lorries to meet the RTFO http://www.dft.gov.uk/pgr/roads/environment/rtfo/ - this is insane

New (needed) more efficient Power Stations cannot be built because of the theory of Man Made Global Warming and instead Nuclear Power Stations are the greenest thing since moldy sliced bread and with each new Nuclear Power Station built the potential for a Nuclear Accident keeps on increasing - not to mention the 100,000 years of deadly legacy you leave behind - this is insane

Then there is the cost to build unnecessary infrastructure Sea Walls, Flood defences, (Nuclear Power Stations and then their decommissioning), and adding additional cost to ongoing projects to investigate their impact and mitigation proposals against Man Made Global Warming - this is insane.

Then there are the taxes and the newly created Climate Change Levies and the Carbon Market http://www.bluenext.eu where now you can buy and sell Air - This is insane

Carbon Credits Debits a new cost to the World created literally out of thin air - this is insane

Now if you are just surviving, scraping by and eeking out and you add new costs (taxes, carbon credit costs, climate change levies, fuel duties) then you are no longer surviving, scraping by or eeking out you are starving, homeless and bankrupt - this is insane.

Then there is the creation in our Children's minds that they have no future through the constant propaganda message that we are all in some way doomed through CO2. What impact does that have on our collective futures if you tell Children there is no future for Mankind and that they are part of the problem? - This is the greatest insanity of them all

So completely harmless then this made up notion that we control the Climate?

I don't think so

Which is is why I will constantly present reality up against this malodorous propaganda until it is over

Which thankfully is not as far away as I was expecting

Dave

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Look at that... Dr. Roy (Spencer), chief Temperature Ain't True-ist got so much crap dumped over him from his peers when he silently switched to 25 month rolling average, that he as silently switched back to 13 months... The sun dailed in to say that earth needed to resume warming 24 months before Re would follow suite, that made him do it... yes the sun has 3 spots presently... 1 monster, and the consequential extra UV radiation needs 8 minutes to reach Earth... ladies and gentlemen, Judith Lean, a TSI specialist printed it... 0.24 Watts/M Square between min and max is ALLOT, on global scale, according her. Judith forgot about GHG's that act that magic blanket else we'd be worldwide on a constant -17C, worldwide, at least... we made that blanket 38% denser.

PS, better wear a wide rimmed hat when going out... our ozone layer on the NH is thin presently, so more UV get's through... the colder it get's up in the Stratosphere the more CFK like gases react with O3, to deplete it [laymen explanation]

I'll shrink the image later to the prescribed 600 pxl wide, but did not want to withhold what the Dr. had to say, in cherry pick:
Some Thoughts on the Warm January, 2010
February 8th, 2010

I continue to get lots of e-mails asking how global average tropospheric temperatures for January, 2010 could be at a record high (for January, anyway, in the 32 year satellite record) when it seems like it was such a cold January where people actually live.

From The Times
January 9, 2010
If I hear another global warming joke, I’ll . . .
. . . go completely insane. Climate change doesn’t mean we’ll have lots of lovely weather all the time, you numbskulls

You hear me? Nobody is saying that, not the bleeding-heartedest, most climate-credulous ladyboy Yakult-drinker in Islington. It will do the opposite. Global warming will in the end interfere with the ocean currents, knock out the Gulf Stream, and remove the protection we have from the icy Nordic weather that is our due, as sharers of the same latitude as Siberia. Britain will get colder. So this joke about the weather just isn’t there.

Do you understand? It’s called “global warming”, but that doesn’t mean “nice warm weather”. So please stop making these stupid, stupid jokes in my newspapers and on my television.

It is being driven by the corn for alcohol lobby, not scientists. Brazil is making so much alcohol efficiently from sugar cane that we have to put a duty on it to keeo it out.

psst. There is not much rice being grown in Iowa, if at all. Major crops are corn and soybeans. I have seen rice fields in Arkansas and Texas.

You are only paying carbon taxes for that 0.0388% trace gas. You should feel good about it. 99.96% of your air is still free of taxes, including all of that argon, neon and xenon.

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

Look at that, I had not updated this chart for 2 years... Rutgers Snow monthly, like clockwork, published on or before the 10th.

We [those that can see and understand] very very well know that winter cover is around normal, the concern being that the spring melt removes so much from our albedo that our intake and store of heat becomes much greater... and hundreds of millions not getting that much needed melt water from the mountains to irrigate their lands. Anyway, the usual usual... so much snow in the perception of those who've got it in their habitat, yet Northern Hemisphere wide... ain't seeing anything abnormal... well we've had no snow down hear since Dec.16, 2008

Looking at the chart start year, not sure if it was 1966 or 1967 being that faithful year an active member was born, but that's when snow monitoring began in earnest... because back then we knew something more was not going right and its already visible in the chart for February... I'll post the update next month, if here still.

Re: Not sure how much longer they will be able to keep crunching in the UK

No worries marysduby peace

Sek your graph demonstrates that there is no need to be worried quite nicely
Thanks

It's got up to a balmy -3C today in Brussels (-9C with the wind chill hypnotized ) I think I'd best get my cozzy on and slap on the sun tan lotion biggrin

It's <choose your own deleted expletive> freezing out there because.....it's Brussels and it's February

i.e. Not a Climate Disaster in the making

The forecast is for an actual -9C for tomorrow night worried

The second wave of winter turned up right on cue... immediately following my birthday as is usually the case.... Climatically wink

A point on a graph tells us nothing about the trend. Belongs here:WEATHER WEATHER WEATHER

Agreed - biofuels are not the answer.

Not insane. Nuclear is clean and now safe.
Then there is the cost to build unnecessary infrastructure Sea Walls, Flood defences, (Nuclear Power Stations and then their decommissioning), and adding additional cost to ongoing projects to investigate their impact and mitigation proposals against Man Made Global Warming - this is insane.
Gotta be prepared; you would have the sea levels at your doorstep before you believe.

It's not propaganda. If it's all a conspiracy, then no evidence will ever convince you otherwise, right? Because all evidence is part of the conspiracy.
