You have those milestones coming fast and furious these days RT! biggrin Vuj had a nice day today! About time for fire season down under I think. Here's hoping for a quiet one!!! Heard from Dave today. He's going to be in a while longer. He's on an antibiotic that is IV or injection only - no pill he could take at home.


So good to hear Dave will be coming back to us soon. Sounds like a nasty infection but he has mentioned that several times in past months. Dave, if you read this...hurry back.

In other news, I think I am about to volate one of my own rules...upgrade a machine. I have been over at Tom's hardware talking to the guys about replacing the MB in my full tower Dell XPS730 (Core2 Q9550) with one that supports an I7. Wouldn't you know it. That 730 just went out of warranty and Dell wants an arm and a leg to fix all the USB, Sound and some DVD drive problems -- I think it is all on the MB. I just love that full tower case. It has tons of mounting stuff (there are 4 disk drives in there now along with two DVDs and tons of other stuff. And besides ... it is really impressive looking. smile I am about to lose my laptop that has been crunching ... My daughter wants it.....and since she was a baby, if she wants it and daddy has it...

Back soon -- on hospital computer -- gotta run!


Hey Dave... Can you download BOINC on that hospital machine...and then add it to your ID ? smile

Gerald: If I remember correctly there is a gizmo from Microsoft that allows a company's servers to refresh the OpSys and programs on it if there is any anomaly noticed. Odd that they let people use an account that allows program installation. Anyway... perhaps it got a WU done before it bit the dust. smile

Still thinking of coming to the Great State of Texas?

Dave: I suppose so.. One of the last groups that you want mad at you are the ones that take care of you in the hospital. wink It would be kind of like insulting the Dentist as you sat down in his/her chair. Guess you will just have to get back home to do your WCG. So hurry!

Home -- a lot to do, so won't be chatting for a bit. Still have some problems, but will take care of here at home. Thank you everyone for your thoughts and support while I was not here. By the way -- cleaning lady hit switch on power strip that knocked my desktops down while I was gone. Back up and crunching.
