Re: What Projects are you crunching here at WCG

Who knows, by then, we might be getting signs of a new project... if not, then I'll venture forth for my first 5 yr Diamond badge with SCC.

Do you know something I don't know, I thought SCC was almost done. I got to Sapphire for everything active but HSTB. Based on Klick ECD postings I a working for my first Diamond for OET. Tons of workunits available.

It was almost done but back in May they stated they would add more WUs, in June they gave more details (like 5 posts down the page), and the next 4 pages of that thread are people asking when the new work would come, then work resumed a few days ago.

The official estimated completion date's specific date is viewable here just change the last 4 digits to the project you want to view. As many people have said, this date isn't exactly precise and changes depending on workflow, available workunits, etc etc. So take the date given with a huge grain of salt, but it good to have something.

Thanks Seoul... Two hour after my posting I stumbled to the research page and was shocked to see the SCC bar to the left! I then looked at Klick ECD postings and saw that it had been extended to 2021!!!!! I was sweating bullets trying to get to Sapphire in May/June.

IS THIS A COMMON OCCURRENCE? I WOULD THINK 4 YEARS IS A VERY HUGE MOUNTAIN OF SALT!!!

Currently doing both FAAH and FAH2. Hoping to get FAAH to diamond (no idea when that's going to happen, currently 93 days past 3 years) and take FAH2 to 1 year (still have 92 days to go). Nothing to do but crunch biggrin .

dcs1955, it doesn't that often - but it's always a pleasant surprise when it does (especially when you've still got a goal to reach for).

Make that to 2020., as other project finishing earlier will speed up the finishing date of SCC!
So get your "long goals" straight!

True KLiK - but I would also hope that new project(s) will extend this estimate...

Sure, but "when they arrive"!

But keep in mind many of the current projects can only take 5-15% of WCG, due to researchers servers! Only MCM can take 50-60% (tested) of WCG infrastructure...

Thanks KliK ... Your good work is like herding cats. I guess 2020 makes that a large hill of salt.
