I know, but nothing at all up to now. That is very frustrating.
If we all only asked what we can manage in half a day, we would be processing C types by now. |

Arnolddepater, although I know and fully understand the frustration you feel, you also have to remember that we're only right at the beginning of this project.
----------------------------------------Just taking the A types as an example, there are some 36,000 - of which, only 1,000 have been sent out. Thus, there's another 70,000 A type WU's in total still to be processed (these having a quorum of 2). Then, there's all the B and C types to come... Basically, we've all got to be patient and let them come as quickly as they come. The most important thing here, is ensuring that what we do crunch, is valid and useful to the scientists. BTW, I've got to constantly remind myself of the above - as I'm only 9 hrs short of Bronze, and I haven't received any DDDT2 WU's after the initial 2,000 got sent out... ![]() |

Hi Arnolddepater, I would like to suggest you don't give up. Frustation is part of our donating work here, ever... maybe could be a pre requested characteristic for WCG crunchers in some aspects of our donated efforts). I picked mine ones in the first batch just due luck. My machine ask for new taks during the night and I got few ones. I think that if you keep the ansiety low, you will manage better the waiting, and I hope that you will get it soon and in smooth way to process (not the hard ones A types, that some of us are/just crunching with some worries associated due the high consume of memory, combined with the lack of WU's and so on). Additionally, I saw that you just need the badge for this project more the Beta, to get the full set... so don't give up and keep your spirit in high funny mode ! ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]()

Got to remember, the science is the most important part! Any update on how close we are to seeing any C work units?

The naming conventions for our quality control systems are: ts01 = HIV protease and its known binders/non-binders ts02 = trypsin and its known binders/non-binders ts03 = HIV reverse transcriptase and its known binders/non-binders ts04 = influenza virus neuraminidase and its known binders/non-binders ts05 = human estrogen receptor and its known binders/non-binders Thanks for that Bono. I guess there aren't many such units issued as there seems to be no other discussion regarding them. I must have been very lucky to get it. Now has about 5 hrs to run for a total of 35hrs @ 2.915 Gflops - a bit faster than first estimate. |
