Re: B-Types are released

Get some se-s.
Hope there will be enough work for every chruncher soon.

Why don´t they release large bulk of A-types. So the bottleneck wouldn´t be on our side but on researchers side?

Re: B-Types are released

well, I just got 13 Type B units,
9 SE and 4 PE
the SE see to take half of the PE time, but I might not have had all 8 cores working at first, we'll see as time goes by...
4se are done already, and if they each produce 350 WU (Ctype) hopefully they will jump in the pipe soon, As I've said before I have 6.5 years of other projects to do, it's just fun to get on a new one :)

Randzo, We first need to do the prerun's which take time. These are done on the alpha grid using limited resources. Once these are done, then the results are sent to the researchers and type A work units are created. Once type A's are ready we release them. There is not a backlog at this time.

Re: B-Types are released

Starting to roll now....have four A's about to finish and have received three B's, one has been validated and others almost done. The B's take about 3-4 hours it seems. Looks like the C's won't be too far behind if the B's check out....smile

Re: B-Types are released

AnRM

There are pe and se type, the former run longer than the latter. Just had 2 each and the usages of resources are quite close to what was observed in beta. Using 521 to 540Mb in Virtual Memory. RAM use crept up from 34(pe) to 15Mb(se). Running now all 4 concurrent. Not noticing any user side impact.

PS: The PE seem to be heading for 10+ hours on my quad and the se to 4 hours.
