Just try to update the BOINC Manager manually every, let's say, 5 Minutes. That helped me.

Wholly shoots. It says 55hrs + to complete. My normaly work items are 3-6 hrs

Weird. I've got 40 threads running windows and 24 running linux and only the linux machines got any.
