Thanks.
Maybe less. Remenber 20 or 30 minutes of warmup period. So one loop takes you 1 hour and few minutes. |

All 10 dddt2 WU on the same box came in with an estimated time of 45.11 hours. After the first 2 have completed at 8.65/8.76 hours, the estimated time for the other 8 WU are now 46.05 and the two that are running are still in High Priority mode (unnecessarily). One is at 46% done in 4:07 and the other is 25% done in 2:21
I downloaded 19+ days of dddt2 work on this C2D box and I am only going to get 4 days points. |

the linux ones seem slower (no hard data to support this)

I am already sending back results.
With only 8 hours per unit, even all my 19 WU won't bring me closer to a silver badge... ![]() ![]() |

All mine are back. They ran about 12 hours each on a stock i7-920 with HT on. 1 is valid, the rest are in PV.

With only 8 hours per unit, even all my 19 WU won't bring me closer to a silver badge... ![]() Huh, 19 results, each 8 hours equals... 6.33 days, so while you won't reach silver with this batch, it should atleast move you 6 days closer to reaching the silver-badge... ![]() In any case, my i7 got 16 wu's to crunch, but is a little slower with the turnaround-time, so just returned 3 results, each at roughly 13.25 hours cpu-time. The remaining 5 cores first results is somewhat delayed, since client decided to make a head-start on the remaining wu's instead of finishing-up the current batch. The much too large initial estimate that was 72 hours is the reason for the somewhat strange scheduling, but it atleast won't have any effect on total turnaround-time for the batch. ![]() ![]() "I make so many mistakes. and yes they all say Type A and their deadlines are 8/2/2010 ... those were four that my single core (HT) computer received. Indeed, they are Type-A WUs and this 10-day delay is strange. Maybe Uplinger will have an explanation for them?...Some of my other systems have a due date of 7/30, but my cache wasn't set so high...not sure if that had anything to do with it or not. The cache size has no incidence on the time allowed to return them, unless something has changed recently, which would be surprising. Depending on the computer, if the scheduler believes they won't be able to complete a task within a percentage of the time limit when it is sent, then the deadline is bumped up a bit which could be why there may be a 10 day deadline for this user. Without sifting through the logs and such I would imagine this was the case. Also, these work units still have the estimated runtime from when they were 50 cycles. Now they are only 10. *time to continue reading the posts :) from the sounds of it, ts05_d ts05_e ts05_f didn't run. So we may not have sent out all work...investigating that now* -Uplinger |
